Intellectual Eclipse

I grew up in a Christian home, but later had to make the faith my own via repentance and faith.

I basically "found" God and experienced alleviation from sin in high school, but then in college it was like an intellectual eclipse - my mind had many questions that put my faith in limbo zone - not knowing what was true and if I was saved etc.

It wasn't til March 30th 2011 that the PRESENCE of God showed up after much intellectual seeking and prayer and THIS is what changed my life and confirmed to me JESUS (I just knew it was His presence) is alive, He loves me, and I am His.

I think a lot of people think they're good to go with God because they've used their brain enough and they intellectually believe the correct things.

I'm here to say it's about experiencing the Father's embrace and giving your heart to Him. Yes we love Him with our mind to and can seek out answers, but as someone once told me:

"If you want your Father and your Father wants you, what's the problem?" (When I was in my dark eclipse state).

It's about wanting HIM, not just the right answer.

Jesus said people search the scriptures because they think they have LIFE in them, BUT they don't go to HIM so as to have true life being in relationship with HIM.
